Training Courses - PU Encapsulated Strain Gauges

The following courses can be tailored to specific applications.

The modules are for 2/3 people per session, lasting approximately 1-3 days.  Each person trained will receive comprehensive, hands-on experience, being guided through each step of the process.

Module 1

Installation of GF PU-encapsulated gauges using Cyanoacrylate adhesives. Module 1 instructs you in the following areas:

• Surface preparation (using power tools where appropriate)
• Alignment & marking
• Strain gauge installation Inspection & test
• Inspection & test
• Protective coating

Module 2

Installation of GF PU-encapsulated gauges using room temperature cure epoxy adhesives.  Module 2 follows the same format as Module 1 but includes Strain Gauge Installation, including Clamping Methods.

Module 3

Installation of  Weldable strain gauges. Module 3 follows the same format as module 1 but includes Strain Gauge Installation, using a Low Energy Spot Welder.

Module 4

Installation of HT encapsulated strain gauges to hot substrates (120°C to 270°C ).
Module 4 follows the same format at module 1.

Module 5

Installation of standard strain gauges using Cyanoacrylate adhesive. Module 5 follows the same format at module 1.

Module 6

Installation of standard strain gauges using Room temperature cure epoxy adhesive. Module 6 follows the same format at module 2.

Module 7

Soldering techniques. ½ day training course covering Basic Soldering & Wiring Techniques for Inter-gauge Wiring.
